What, if anything, is the difference between dysthymia and depressive personality disorder? And how would you treat either one - meds, talk therapy, or neither b/c it won't much help?

You should find a description of dysthymic disorder on the website (psychological.com). It has not responded very well to medication. The existence of Depressive Personality Disorder is a matter of appreciable dispute.
