Dear Dr. Adams,
I am confused. My question is: Can Narcissism be cured and healed by the person who suffers from it?
Understanding that Narcissism exists on a spectrum from "Healthy N to NPD", it is highly unlikely that those on the right of the spectrum can/will recover. What about those at the lower end of the spectrum with lesser degrees of Narcissism? I am hearing and seeing a collective, rigid either/or thinking in a therapy setting that no Narcissism, at all, can be fixed. Regardless of the degree. Is it your experience that people with lesser degree of Narcissism healed and rediscovered their true selves?
Thank you, Dr. Adams.
