I have a problem and I was woundering if you could help! I have been dating my partner for 4 years. After the first year I started to have problems when we try to get intimate. I feel pain when we have intercourse and very rarely feel in the mood. I do not become aroused and never have an urge to. I love him very much and I do not want to lose him. I dont know if its a problem with me or maybe him, but I do find him very attractive. The last year we have barely ever had sexual intercourse beause I dont get aroused any more. I am only 20 and I dont know what the problem is or could be. Do you have an advice?

Check with your gynecologist for a condition called "dyspareunia". Painful intercourse is not uncommon and can be caused from a variety of physical problems but also can be caused by lack of lubrication, poor technique of sexual partner and underlying preference not to be doing what you are doing.

I don't have any problems with pain, but I have absolutely no interest in sex. Its a constant battle with my partner. He does, I don't. I usually just do it for his benefit. I've been this way as long as I can remember but faked enjoying it because its what they want.

Was that a question or a statement? Hypoactive sexual desire is a treatable condition if you want it treated.
