While many feel that sexual problems are the chief source of difficulties within a marriage, financial conflict is an equal or greater concern. Individuals who have insufficient money and concurrent differ in the way money is speant are frequently at odds with each other.

I am new to this listserv, and I hope this thread has not been persued already but:
- financial conflict and sexual problems are not two mutually exclusive constructs, indeed, they are both symptoms of marital distress, along with other examplars of this condition such as; communication problems, demand-withdrawal ect...
- I purport that merely stating 'sexual problems' and 'financial conflict' as sources of difficulty is correct on the surface, however a myriad cognitive issues dwell in the background, such as: attributional biases, prior history as an influence, expectancies, assumptions and standards ('should' statemets).
- Does anyone know of any studies that purport CBT or CBCT (CBMT) to be of any additional benefit to straight behavioural therapy?

I totally agree w/ you , but it also cld be sexual problems also. I have seen it time and time again the losing of the so call spark and passion in the relationship and they cheat on each other or just give up. I suggest try new things and try to work on the financial part of the relation ship
