"Increasing omega-3 intake may lower both anxiety symptoms and proinflammatory cytokines in healthy young adults...omega-3 may have potential anxiolytic benefits for individuals without an anxiety disorder diagnosis.

...previous researchhas suggested that omega-3 can lower depressive symptoms in patients diagnosed as having clinical depression...both depression and anxiety have been found to increase the production of proinflammatory cytokines...Secondary outcome measures were lowered anxiety and depressive symptoms, as well as lowered negative mood symptoms associated with taking stressful exams."

I have listened this from doctors too that omega 3 and 6 is good for anxiety and depression specially for adults. But these vitamins are not the only solution of this. You should understand that you also have to engage yourself in some other activities.
